NOTICE OF VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF

PARISH COUNCILLOR

Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that due to the resignation of _Mrs Ena Dent_

a vacancy exists in the office of Parish Councillor for the Parish of

Rosedale East & West

(Kirkbymoorside and Dales Ward)

A by-election will be held if by 23 September 2024 ten electors for the parish give notice in writing to The Returning Officer, Democratic Services North Yorkshire County, County Hall, Northallerton DL7 8AD requesting an election to fill the vacancy.

If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.

Dated 3 September 2024 This date should match the date on the "frank" on the posted copy to democratic services (with covering letter noting that the enclosed sign has been displayed in the village notice boards and on the website under statutory notices notifying the electorate and qualifying individuals of the resignation and opportunity)
